A real masterpiece, the monument soars majestically above the banks of the river Yamuna. DAY 9 Angkor, Cambodia The word Angkor is derived from the Sanskrit nagara, meaning "city". The ruins of Angkor are located amid forests and farmland to the north of the Great Lake (Tonl Sap) and south of the Kulen Hills, near modern-day Siem Reap, in Siem Reap Province, and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built between the 9th and 13th centuries, Angkor Wat is the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire, and one of the world's greatest architectural triumphs. DAYS 10-11 Bali, Indonesia Renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. DAY 12-13 Great Barrier Reef, Australia The Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space and is the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms It has a very rich variety of marine life, unparalleled in the world. Days 18 & 19 Iguacu Falls and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil The name "Iguazu" comes from the Guarani or Tupi words y, meaning "water", and wasu, meaning "big". Legend has it that a god planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naip, who fled with her mortal lover Tarob in a canoe.
